VoiceBrain — Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-07-01. These terms govern your use of the VoiceBrain app and service. By using VoiceBrain, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Who provides the service
VoiceBrain is a personal project operated by Alexander Dolgov, Berlin, Germany. Contact: hello@vbrain.app.
Your right to use VoiceBrain
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on your devices to capture and organize your own voice notes. You may not resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the app or the service.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use VoiceBrain for anything unlawful, or to store or share content you have no right to;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service;
- use the service to harm, harass, or infringe the rights of others.
Your content
Your recordings, transcripts, and entries are yours. You grant us only the limited rights needed to run the service — to store your content and to process it (including transcription and classification) so we can return organized entries to you. How your data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Shared spaces
If you create or join a shared space, entries in that space are visible to its members. You are responsible for who you invite and for what you choose to share there.
Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties — for example Sign in with Apple and, if you connect it, Google Calendar. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. VoiceBrain is not responsible for third-party services.
Availability and "as is"
VoiceBrain is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. As a small independent project, we can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and features may change or be discontinued.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, VoiceBrain and its developer are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your mandatory consumer rights.
Termination
You can stop using VoiceBrain at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
